7 Months and Growing Fast!!!

My stint at taking care of Faith seemed to fly by! My goodness where does the time go? I certainly can understand the Bible when it says that to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day! That's eternity waiting for us and as we grow older I think we begin to understand that God has a whole other way of looking at time than the way we humans do! It seems when there are children involved time just spins on it's end!



So here is our precious granddaugther at just over 7 months old and she is developing a strong personality for sure! She knows what she likes and she doesn't mind indicating her desires or lack of desire when it comes to some foods!

She just keeps getting more and more fun! She's sitting up very well on her on and I think on the verge of taking off crawling and oh my watch out when that happens! She's very good at reaching out and grabbing things and I knew the day was coming when I'd have to hold her without wearing my glasses so for a while she may look a little fuzzy to me, but that's ok. She's also feeding herself finger foods and they've certainly come up with many new things in the 25+ years since I was raising babies! No longer are there the plain Cheerios, now there are special baby puff cereals and they actually taste pretty good. She even got to nibble a little of her Grandfather's BBQ Ribs (her mother is the one who fed her that by the way) but she did wrinkle her nose a little. We're not exactly sure how to interpret that, but I'm sure she'll be a good southern girl and learn to love BBQ Pork Ribs and all of the other things her grandfather cooks up.

New Resident at the Harwell House!

Yikes! I didn't realize that it's been so lonnnnnnnnng since I posted on this blog. Well I never promised to be regular about it, but if you want regular readers I guess publishing on a regular basis would help! I'll certainly try to get some new things up here very soon!

I'm using Photo Shop Elements 5.0 to edit my pictures and I'm not really sure what I'm doing so... I'm trying to make the images smaller in file size so they load up quicker. If you have trouble viewing any of the pictures please email me and let me know!

So here is our new resident - Molly the Watch Cat! She comes to us via our son's house around May or so of this year. She was one of two cats in their house and after a new baby and moving to a very brand new house (you know the new house smells...) she was a bit stressed out. Let's just say she was having bladder issues and this was not going over too well with our son. Rather than ship her off to complete strangers, I (Debby) insisted on having her move in with us. She was very scared at first, but after Don sat and talked to for a couple of days while he was here, she especially warmed up to him. She's now pretty much the ruler of the roost. Here she is sitting at her post holding down the fort, or rather the junk on Don's desk in his very clutterd office, a cat's heaven, she just loves all the stuff to investigate, chew on and toss around. This cat does not have claws and it's a good thing, she can really use those paws to bang on the door if she wants to go through. She even chases small balls if you throw them and she happens to be in the mood to play fetch (the "being in the mood" definitely makes her a cat!)
