WINTER STORM 2009

So we got the warnings and watches last night, it went from 1-3 inches of snow expected to 2-4 inches and even 6 inches was mentioned a time or two. It all depended on what radio, television or internet site you were watching or listening to. (I know, can't end a sentence with a preposition, oh well... I just did Mrs. Parrott.) The radar screens showed the snow was coming from the west over the mountains and I made my prediction..."we won't get much, if any at all..." I should have been a meteorologist....

Here's a picture from this morning at 9am and now the weather people are saying that the bulk of the storm is off to the east... um I could have told them that too.

And here's another shot of my grandchild's slide. Not even enough to scoop up for one snowball.

So to my friends and family who live up north. That's our first Winter Storm for this season.... and at least we're not out shoveling our walkways. On one note, the weather reports did get it partially correct. My daughter who lives about 16 miles to the west did get a complete ground cover, so that's about one inch and a two hour delay to her teacher workday today which is always nice, especially when they make the announcement the night before you set your alarm!

It is cold though, I think it's suppose to get down to 17F tonight...
