Solar Powered Snow Remover!

No shoveling! No loud snow blowers! This is how you remove snow from your walkways in the south! It's solar powered and very quiet!

On Friday, beginning late morning or so, we got a pretty good snowfall for our neck of the woods, about 3 or 4 inches. It was enough to pretty much shut things down for the most part of Saturday. We enjoyed a full day of being lazy without leaving our house despite Christmas shopping left to do.

But by Sunday morning, it was back to the regular routine! By 9am the sun had done its job and our paths were cleared!

And this is one of the best thing about living in the south! And especially North Carolina... We get snow every once and a while, but just enough to enjoy and not enough to get tired of. Well at least not this time!

We are experiencing colder than usual temps! Hoping everyone to our north and west are staying warm! Merry Christmas!

Lovely Lunch with a Friend

Today I met with Ellen Guerrant to discuss vending strategies for a local show coming up in January. She took me to Charley's and treated me to a very nice lunch. I chose the chicken pot pie special and it was very nice and light. It had a puff pastry topping and no crust on the bottom, so it made it very light and tasty.
So come see us at the Quilting and Needle Art Extravaganza 2010 in Statesville, NC. We'll be in booth # 34.
