Wonderful Textile Art Week-end!

This week-end I attended the NC Quilt Symposium which is 2 and half days of workshops and lectures and lots of fun. Unfortunately I didn't stop long enough to think about pulling out my camera and taking pictures so I'll have to refer you to Susan Brubaker-Knapp's blog. She was in my class and she was pulling out her camera often. I just checked and yes, she did a wonderful job of photo journelism. In fact she has a good picture of our instructor Cynthia Corbin critiquing my work in progress. The picture of me isn't the best, but hey, I was busy at work and not worried about being photographed! Thanks Susan for the wonderful job of taking pictures for us! The one thing that she did not include was the added treat at our closing ceremonies! There were door prizes, so very nice door prizes which included a felting machine, and scholarships for next year's symposium, and even a week at John Campbell Folk school scholarship! While I didn't win any of those grand prizes, I did win a prize!!!!! I was so excited when they called my name for a gift certificate and guess where of all places...................... PRO Chemical and Dye company!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I love to dye fabric and I buy all my dye chemicals for them, so this gift certificate will be used in a wonderful way! It was a wonderful week-end with wonderful ending. So I apologize for no pictures, but run on over to Susan's blog for the details!
